The Rutgers women’s golf team finished tied for second with a 931 (310-310-311) score at the 15-team Bucknell Invitational, played Saturday and Sunday at Bucknell Golf Course. The Scarlet Knights placed just one stroke off the pace in their initial tournament of the fall season.

Rutgers University rising senior golfers Brittany Weddell (Buzzards Bay, Mass.) and Karen Cash (Allendale, N.J.) have qualified to compete in the 2012 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship to be held June 18-23 at Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station, N.J.

May-10-12	Freshman Kortnie Maxoutopoulis Named All-BIG EAST
Rutgers freshman Kortnie Maxoutopoulis has been named to the 2012 All-BIG EAST Conference Women’s Golf Team as chosen by the league’s eight head coaches. The rookie made an immediate impact on the links in 2011-12, posting seven top 10 finishes, including two victories.

April-24-12	Rutgers Places 5th at BIG EAST Championship
The Rutgers women’s golf team placed fifth with a 956 (311-324-321) total at the 2012 BIG EAST Championship, played at The Watson Course at Reunion Resort & Club. Freshman Kortnie Maxoutopoulis paced the Scarlet Knights with a 229 (75-78-76) to finish tied for eighth.

The Rutgers women’s golf team is in fifth place with a 635 (311-324) total after the initial two rounds of the 2012 BIG EAST Championship, played at The Watson Course at Reunion Resort & Club. Freshman Kortnie Maxoutopoulis is pacing the Scarlet Knights through 36 holes with a 153.

April-22-12	Rutgers 3rd after Opening Round of BIG EAST Championship
The Rutgers women’s golf team is in third place with a 311 total after the opening round of the 2012 BIG EAST Championships, played Sunday at The Watson Course at Reunion Resort & Club. Senior Lizzy Carl and freshman Kortnie Maxoutopoulis paced the Scarlet Knights.

April-19-12	2012 BIG EAST Women’s Golf Championship Preview
The BIG EAST Women’s Golf Championship will take place April 22-24 at Reunion Resort, hosted by Reunion and USF. The 10th women’s championship will be held at the Watson Course for the first time in championship history.

April-14-12	RU Places Fifth at Roar-EE Invitational
The Rutgers women’s golf team placed fifth with a 636 (324-312) total at the sixth annual Roar-EE Invitational, played Friday and Saturday at Spook Rock Golf Course. Freshman Kortnie Maxoutopoulis paced the Scarlet Knights, carding a 153 (77-76) to finish tied for 9th.
