August-22-08 Season Outlook
The Rutgers women's golf team will have a new look in 2008-09.The team welcomes six freshmen to a squad that returns three letterwinners. With 67 percent of her lineup teeing up in Scarlet for the first time, Head Coach Maura Ballard is working toward a smooth transition. Given the level of competition many of her newcomers faced at the junior level, the 16th-year mentor expects the rookies to have a positive and immediate impact.

April-21-08 Women in 7th Place, Men in 12th After Second Rounds of BIG EAST Championships
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Rutgers women's golf team is in seventh place and the men's squad is in 12th position after the two rounds of the 2008 BIG EAST Golf Championships, played April 20-21. The women posted a 95-over par 671 (341-330) at the Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio, while the men shot a 40-over 616 (307-309) at the Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Ky.

April-20-08 Women in 7th Place, Men in 12th After Opening Rounds of BIG EAST Championships
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Rutgers women's golf team is in seventh place and the men's squad is in 12th position after the opening rounds of the 2008 BIG EAST Golf Championships, played Sunday, April 20. The women carded a 53-over par 341 at the Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio, while the men shot a 19-over 307 at the Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Ky.

April-13-08 Waters Paces Scarlet Knights at Roar-ee Invitational
MAMARONECK, N.Y. – The Rutgers women's golf team shot a three-round 1068 (358-366-344) to finish 11th at the Roar-ee Invitational, played April 11-12 at the Hampshire Country Club. Freshman Jeanne Waters (West Sayville, N.Y.) carded a 245 (85-80-80) to finish 12th, while pacing the Scarlet Knights for the third time in as many events this spring season.

April-01-08 Scarlet Knights Place 12th at Hoya Invitational
Beallsville, Md. ─ The Rutgers golf team shot a three-round 1054 (354-340-360) to finish in 12th place at the Georgetown Hoya Women's Invitational, played March 31 - April 1 at the Members Club at Four Streams. Freshman Jeanne Waters (West Sayville, N.Y.) carded a 248 (83-79-86) to finish tied for 35th place, while pacing the Scarlet Knights for the second time in as many events this spring season.

March-29-08 Rutgers Places 11th in First Event of Spring Season
Crystal River, Fla. - The Rutgers women's golf team shot a three-round 1030 (351-339-340) to finish in 11th place at the Cincinnati Spring Invitational, played March 28-29 at Plantation Inn Golf Course. Freshman Jeanne Waters (West Sayville, N.Y.) carded a 240 (78-80-82) to finish tied for 28th place, while pacing the Scarlet Knights in their first event of the spring season.

December-05-07 Golf Signs Five Student-Athletes to National Letters of Intent
Piscataway, N.J. – Rutgers golf coach Maura Ballard today announced that five student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to compete for the Scarlet Knights. Andrew Tursky (Hillsborough, N.J.) will join the men's team, while Anne McNeil (Jacksonville, Fla.), Elizabeth Carl (Mendota Heights, Minn.), Elisa Mateer (Marmora, N.J.) and Brooke Stepanek (Guilford, Conn.) will compete for the women's squad.

October-13-07 Women’s Golf Ties for 5th Place in Rutgers Invitational
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's golf team finished the Rutgers Invitational in a three-way tie for 5th place with a team total of 666 (336-330). University of South Carolina-Upstate (344-322) and Bucknell University (341-325) also finished at 666.

October-12-07 Women’s Golf in 4th Place after Round One of Rutgers Invitational
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's golf team is in 4th place with a 336 team total after round one of the Rutgers Invitational, played Friday, Oct. 12, at the Rutgers Golf Course in Piscataway, N.J. Although rain delayed the start of the tournament, the Scarlet Knights played well, with two players finishing among the top twenty.

October-07-07 Scarlet Knight Women Place 9th at ECAC Golf Championship
WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - The Rutgers women's golf team finished 9th with a 651 (328-323) total at the 2007 ECAC Women's Division I Golf Championship, played October 6-7 at Kiskiask Golf Club. Junior Lauren Huhnerkoch (Burnsville, Minn.) paced the Scarlet Knights for the second straight event, carding a 15-over par 159 (81-78) to finish tied for 25th on the par 72, 6,075-yard course.
