October-11-08 Rutgers Finishes Eighth In RU Women’s Invitational
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's golf team took eighth place in the 2008 Rutgers Women's Invitational, held Friday and Saturday at the par 72, 6,034-yard Rutgers University Golf Course in Piscataway, N.J. Under sunny and cloudless skies, Boston College finished in first with a team score of 629.

October-10-08 Scarlet Knights In Sixth After Opening Round of RU Invitational
Piscataway, N.J. - The Scarlet Knights are in sixth place with a 325 score after the opening round of the 2008 Rutgers Women's Invitational, played Friday under sunny skies at the Rutgers University Golf Course. RU is eight strokes behind tournament-leader Lehigh, which posted a 317 on the par 72, 6,034-yard course to lead the 16-team event.

October-09-08 RU Women Set to Host Rutgers Invitational
Piscataway, N.J. – The RU women's golf team will host the Rutgers Invitational this Friday and Saturday, October 10-11, at the Rutgers University Golf Course. Sixteen colleges are competing in the annual event, which was won by Bethune-Cookman last year.

October-05-08 Scarlet Knights Finish 8th at ECAC Championships
Williamsburg, Va. - The Rutgers women's golf team carded a two-round 646 (328-318) to finish eighth out of 17 teams at the ECAC Division I Women's Championships, played Saturday and Sunday, October 4-5, at Kiskiack Golf Course. Freshman Kristina Lee (Haddonfield, N.J.) paced the Scarlet Knights for the third time in four events this fall season, carding an 11-over par 155 (81-74) to finish 11th in the 90-player field.

September-21-08 Scarlet Knights Place 13th at Princeton Invitational
Princeton, N.J. - The Rutgers women's golf team finished 13th with a 657 (335-322) score at the Princeton Invitational, played Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21, at Springdale Golf Club. Freshman Kristina Lee (Haddonfield, N.J.) paced the Scarlet Knights for the second time in three events this fall season, carding a 13-over par 157 (80-77) to finish tied for 17th in the 89-player field.

September-14-08 Scarlet Knights Place 8th at Nittany Lion Invitational
University Park, Pa. – The Rutgers women's golf team finished eighth with a 948 (315-316-317) score at the Nittany Lion Invitational, played Saturday and Sunday, September 13-14, on the Penn State Golf Course. Sophomore Jeanne Waters (West Sayville, N.Y.) paced RU with a 17-over 233 (75-76-82) to finish tied for 22nd in the 80-player field.

September-07-08 Scarlet Knights Finish 3rd at Bucknell Invitational
Lewisburg, Pa. - The Rutgers women's golf team carded a two-round 642 (333-309) to finish third at the Bucknell Invitational, played Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Course. Freshman Kristina Lee (Haddonfield, N.J.), competing in her first collegiate event, carded a 153 (81-72) to pace the Scarlet Knights and finish tied for fourth. Lee's second round 72 tied for the second-lowest round of the 12-team tournament.

August-22-08 Season Outlook
The Rutgers women's golf team will have a new look in 2008-09.The team welcomes six freshmen to a squad that returns three letterwinners. With 67 percent of her lineup teeing up in Scarlet for the first time, Head Coach Maura Ballard is working toward a smooth transition. Given the level of competition many of her newcomers faced at the junior level, the 16th-year mentor expects the rookies to have a positive and immediate impact.

April-21-08 Women in 7th Place, Men in 12th After Second Rounds of BIG EAST Championships
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Rutgers women's golf team is in seventh place and the men's squad is in 12th position after the two rounds of the 2008 BIG EAST Golf Championships, played April 20-21. The women posted a 95-over par 671 (341-330) at the Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio, while the men shot a 40-over 616 (307-309) at the Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Ky.

April-20-08 Women in 7th Place, Men in 12th After Opening Rounds of BIG EAST Championships
CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Rutgers women's golf team is in seventh place and the men's squad is in 12th position after the opening rounds of the 2008 BIG EAST Golf Championships, played Sunday, April 20. The women carded a 53-over par 341 at the Elks Run Golf Club in Batavia, Ohio, while the men shot a 19-over 307 at the Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Ky.
