Maryland won the tournament, carding a 36-hole score of 588. George Washington’s Andrew Gallo won the individual competition after two playoff holes.
Freshman Michael Kosup (Flemington, NJ) led the Scarlet Knights, shooting a 156 (80-76) for the tournament to place 43rd. Both junior Brent Pittman (Montvale, NJ) (74-84) and sophomore Erick Morales (Bayamon Puerto Rico) (71-87) placed 48th with a two round score of 158. Senior Michael Michel (Attleboro, MA) shot 159 (78-81) for 36 holes to finish 51st. Sophomore Brian Whitman (Blairstown, NJ) recorded a two round score of 164 (82-82) to place 60th.
The men will return to action at the Rutgers-Seton Hall “SHURU” next Fri.-Sat., Oct. 11-12 at the Royce Brook Golf Course in Hillsborough, NJ.
