Junior Brent Pittman (Montvale, NJ) paced the Scarlet Knights, finishing in a tie for 20th place in individual competition, carding a 36-hole score of 145 (72-73) for five over par for the tournament. Finishing in a tie for 22nd, just one stroke behind, sophomore Brian Whitman (Blairstown, NJ) shot a six over par, 146 (71-75) for the tournament.
Freshman Michael Kosup (Flemington, NJ) placed 30th, with a 36-hole score of 148 (74-74). Sophomore Erick Morales (Bayamon Puerto Rico) registered a two-round score of 149 (71-78) to finish 37th. Senior Michael Michel (Attleboro, MA) shot 151 (78-73) for the tournament, placing 49th overall.
St. John’s won the event, shooting a team score of 566 (272-294) in the two-round tournament. The individual winner was Andrew Svoboda of the Red Storm carding a 134 (64-70) for 36 holes.
The men will be back in action as they travel to Scranton, PA to compete in the Temple Invitational next Sat.-Sun. Oct. 5-6
