WESTOVER, MD – The Rutgers men’s golf team opened its 2005 spring season with a sixth-place finish at the Drew Upton Towson Golf Classic on Sunday. The Scarlet Knights carded a 616 (312-304) to finish sixth in the 19-school tournament, held at the 7,005-yard, par-72 Great Hope Golf Club.

HARRISONBURG, VA - Defending tournament champion Brent Pittman’s (Montvale, NJ) third-place finish propelled the Scarlet Knight men’s golf team to a second-place finish out of 15 teams at the James Madison Invitational on Sunday.

October-05-04 Pittman Leads RU Men’s Golf to Third Consecutive Tournament Title
PROVIDENCE FORGE, VA – Senior Brent Pittman (Montvale, NJ) shot an even-par 216 (70-71-75) to finish fourth overall, leading the Rutgers men’s golf team to its third-consecutive tournament victory on Tuesday at the Joe Agee William & Mary Invitational. As a team, the Scarlet Knights fired a seven over-par 871 (286-291-294) to win by six strokes over second place William and Mary.

September-26-04 Rutgers Golf Teams Complete Successful Weekend at Elon Invitational
SUNSET BEACH, NC – The men’s golf team highlighted a successful weekend for Rutgers at the Elon Sea Trail Men’s and Women’s Invitational this weekend. The men, paced by tournament champion Mike Kosup’s (Flemington, NJ) six-under-par 138 (69-69), won the team championship at the 6,761-yard, par-72 Rees Jones Course.

September-20-04 Women’s Golf Finishes Sixth at Dartmouth Invitational
HANOVER, NH – Senior Mary Stewart (Scottsdale, AZ) shot a 157 (79-78) to tie for third place out of 108 competitors at the Dartmouth Invitational over the weekend, leading the Scarlet Knights to a sixth-place finish in the 20-team tournament. RU shot 666 (337-329) for the two-day event, held at the 5,803-yard, par-72 Hanover Golf Course.

September-18-04 Bataille, Scarlet Knights Win Rain-Shortened Rutgers Men’s Golf Invitational
PISCATAWAY, NJ – The remnants of what was Hurricane Ivan swept through the tri-state area Saturday morning, forcing the cancellation of Saturday’s final round of the Rutgers Men’s Golf Invitational. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes played on Friday, with Rutgers junior Jason Bataille (South Plainfield, NJ) winning the individual title, leading the Scarlet Knights to the team championship.

September-17-04 Scarlet Knights Lead After Day One of Rutgers Men’s Golf Invitational
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Paced by junior Jason Bataille’s (South Plainfield, NJ) six-under-par 136 after two rounds, the Scarlet Knights lead after day one of the Rutgers Invitational on Friday. Rutgers shot a four-under-par 564 (282-282) for the tournament’s first two rounds to lead by four strokes over second-place Maryland’s 576 (288-288).

September-12-04 Rutgers Men's Golf Finishes Fourth at Navy Invitational
ANNAPOLIS, MD - The Rutgers men's golf team opened the 2004 fall season with a fourth-place finish in the 20-team Navy Invitational on Sunday. The Scarlet Knights shot a 597 (300-297) to finish 13 strokes back of champion Towson at the 6,611-yard, par-71 United States Naval Academy Golf Course.
