PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers Athletics and adidas have entered into a partnership in which the Portland, Ore., based company will be the official athletic footwear, apparel and accessory brand of the Scarlet Knights. The multi-year agreement begins on July 1, 2017, according to the announcement by Rutgers Director of Athletics Pat Hobbs.
“Everyone here at Rutgers is excited to be partnering with adidas,” said Hobbs. “Our coaches and students know they will be getting outstanding apparel and equipment with which to compete. As important, adidas will bring unmatched service to our programs. We look forward to celebrating much success together, both on and off the field.”
With the new multi-year all-school deal, adidas will become the official athletic footwear, apparel, and accessory brand of the Scarlet Knights through the 2023-24 athletic season.

With the new all-school deal, adidas will outfit all 24 athletic teams, including new strategic uniforms for the football and basketball teams. Additionally, Rutgers will receive adidas’ product & marketing expertise and the two will collaborate on marketing opportunities and the development and enhancement of the licensed retail landscape on campus.
