PISCATAWAY, N.J.(March 3, 2010) – Rutgers head football coach Greg Schiano and his staff will again welcome hundreds of coaches to Rutgers’ Annual Football Coaches Clinic April 9-10 in Piscataway. Joining the Rutgers coaching staff in this year’s event will be New England Patriots three-time Super Bowl champion head coach Bill Belichick, who will serve as a keynote speaker.
The clinic will feature lectures and demonstrations by Schiano and the coaching staff, who have guided Rutgers to five consecutive bowl appearances, including four straight bowl championships. Last season, Rutgers defeated UCF, 45-24, in the St. Petersburg Bowl on Dec. 20. The Scarlet Knights completed their sixth nine-win season in school history and second under Schiano with a 9-4 overall record in 2009.
The 2010 clinic will feature sessions with the offensive and defensive coaching staffs and provide on-field demonstrations with members of the Scarlet Knights’ squad, which will be in the midst of spring drills. Clinic attendees will have an opportunity to observe a practice on Friday, April 9, and an intrasquad scrimmage on Saturday, April 10, in Rutgers Stadium.
The clinic costs $55 per person and includes clinic materials, Friday's lunch and dinner and a coaches' Friday night social.
