PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers junior wide receiver Kenny Britt (Bayonne, N.J.) has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Football Honor Roll, the league announced Monday.

Kenny Britt
Britt had 12 receptions for 151 yards in the Scarlet Knights' 24-17 setback at West Virginia on Saturday. Britt set a school record with his eighth career 100-yard performance. The 12 receptions tied a career-high for the 2007 All-BIG EAST wideout and tied for the second-most catches in a game in school history.

Britt also attempted and completed his first career pass in the second quarter against the Mountaineers. He connected on a pass to sophomore RB Mason Robinson (Somerville, N.J.) for a 28-yard gain which led to an RU score later in the drive.

The junior wide receiver ranks fourth nationally with a BIG EAST-leading 8.25 receptions per game and ranks 10th in the country with a BIG EAST-best 103.25 receiving yards per contest.

Britt also passed Clark Harris (2003-06) and Jim Guarantano (1989-92) to move into fourth place on the Rutgers all-time receiving yardage list with 2,085 career yards and passed Shawn Tucker (2002-06), LJ Smith (1999-2002) and Reggie Funderburk (1993-97) to move into eighth place on the school's career receptions chart with 124 career catches.

Rutgers continues its road swing this weekend with a noon game at Cincinnati in the BIG EAST Network Game of the Week. The game will be televised locally on SNY and on WPHL-17 in Philadelphia.
