PISCATAWAY, NJ - The Rutgers University football team wraps up its 2006 Spring Practice with the annual Scarlet-White Game on April 22, at Rutgers Stadium. Kickoff for the Scarlet-White Game is set for 2 p.m.
A day full of fun and activities is planned around the Scarlet-White Game, including FanFest, beginning at 12:30 p.m., and the Rutgers Football Touchdown Club’s Auction beginning immediately following the Scarlet-White Game.
FanFest will be held at the field adjacent to the “Bubble,” across from Rutgers Stadium, and is free to all fans. In the event of rain, it will be held inside the Bubble. FanFest will feature fun events for families and children, and will include appearances by the Rutgers Pep Band and the Dance and Cheerleading teams. Fans can get a temporary Rutgers tattoo and meet the Scarlet Knight mascot. Everyone who attends the Scarlet White Game will receive a FREE Rutgers football tee-shirt (while supplies last), and after the game, fans can pick up a 2006 Rutgers Football poster, and meet and get autographs from the Scarlet Knights’ coaches and players.
Following the Scarlet-White game, the Rutgers Football Touchdown Club will conduct its second Sports and Celebrity Auction to benefit the program. The Auction is set to open at 4:00 p.m. with bidding on silent auction items beginning at 4:30 p.m. The live auction will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Silent auction items include tickets to sporting events; unique Rutgers memorabilia; items signed by New York Yankees Derek Jeter and Bernie Williams, New Jersey Devil Scott Stevens, and members of the Giants, Eagles, Flyers, and Mets. Among the featured live auction items are a football helmet signed by Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano; a round of golf with Rutgers Associate Head/Linebackers/Special Teams Coach Darren Rizzi; lunch with "The Apprentice" Randall Pinkett; a cast autographed script from the pilot episode of the "Sopranos"; two (2) tickets to the 2007 NCAA Basketball Championship in Atlanta; a hockey stick signed by Mike Eruzione from the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid; two field pass tickets to a Rutgers football game; travel packages to the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City and to the Seaview Marriott; tickets to The Regis & Kelly Show, The Tony Danza Show and The David Letterman Show; and an opportunity to guest host a game day radio broadcast of Rutgers Football with WFAN's Chris Carlin and former Scarlet Knight and current Rutgers Football Radio Network analyst Tim Pernetti.

Tickets for the Scarlet-White Game are $5, with all proceeds going to the pediatric units of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and St. Peter’s University Hospital (Rutgers students will be admitted free of charge with their ID). The Scarlet-White intrasquad contest has nearly 65,000 over the last 12 years. Tickets may be purchased the day of the game at the Rutgers Ticket Office at Rutgers Stadium.
