  • HIGHLAND PARK, NJ - Rutgers senior tight end L. J. Smith and senior linebacker Gary Brackett visited Highland Park’s Bartle Elementary School recently as part of the “R.U. Reading Into the Game” program, which is sponsored by Rutgers University Athletics. The program was created to encourage reading in the elementary school grades, and is available to students in any Middlesex County elementary school in grades K-5. First Union National Bank is a co-sponsor of the program.

Each child is asked to read five books in a designated time period, and any child who achieves the goal receives a free ticket for themselves and a parent/guardian to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights football game against Temple on Saturday, November 16th.
