PISCATAWAY, NJ – Following the upcoming open weekend, the Rutgers University football team returns to action on Nov. 16 to host BIG EAST rival Temple at Rutgers Stadium. Kickoff is slated for 3:30 p.m.

The Rutgers-Temple game will be televised on CN8. The Scarlet Knights, who took a 17-14 lead into the fourth quarter over No. 1-ranked Miami last Saturday before falling 42-17, are idle on Nov. 9.

Head Coach Greg Schiano’s young Scarlet Knight team (1-8, 0-5) has thrown scares into three Top-15 opponents this season. In addition to last weekend’s contest vs. Miami, Rutgers led No. 11 Tennessee 14-7 at halftime on the road on Sept. 28, before losing 35-14. On Oct. 19 at No. 3 Virginia Tech, Rutgers trailed 28-14 in the fourth quarter before falling by the same score.

Temple, which is 3-6 overall and 1-5 in BIG EAST play, is at Pittsburgh on Nov 9.
