PISCATAWAY, NJ - The annual “Rutgers Football Coaches Clinic” for high school coaches will be held this Friday-Saturday, April 16-17. Presented by the Rutgers football coaching staff, the clinic will include legendary coach Harold R. “Tubby” Raymond as the guest speaker at Friday night’s presentation.
The clinic begins with registration on Friday at 8 a.m. at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in New Brunswick, followed by presentations by members of the Rutgers football coaching staff throughout the morning. Following lunch, Rutgers head coach Greg Schiano will be the afternoon’s featured speaker. The afternoon portion of the clinic will conclude with attendees observing the Scarlet Knights’ practice session at Rutgers Stadium.
Raymond will be the keynote speaker at Friday night’s session at the Hyatt Regency following dinner. Raymond, who led Delaware to three national championships and was inducted into the National College Football Hall of Fame in 2003, compiled a 300-199-3 record in his tenure with the Blue Hens.
The Rutgers Football Coaches Clinic will continue on Saturday morning, beginning at 9 a.m. in the Scarlet Knights’ indoor practice facility (the “Bubble”) with sessions featuring the Scarlet Knights coaching staff. The Rutgers football team will then scrimmage, beginning at 12:30 p.m., in Rutgers Stadium.
