PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 2, 2014) – With the start of the NFL Playoffs this weekend, 12 former Rutgers standouts are on rosters of playoff teams. Five players will be in action this weekend, starting Saturday in Indianapolis between the host Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rookie cornerback Marcus Cooper makes his playoff debut for the Chiefs against the Colts Saturday on NBC. Cooper is eighth on the team with 44 tackles and has three interceptions on the season.
Sunday’s playoff doubleheader begins with three former Scarlet Knights on the 53-man roster for the Bengals – tight end Kevin Brock, long snapper Clark Harris and wide receiver Mohamed Sanu – against the Chargers. Rookie cornerback Brandon Jones is a member of the Chargers’ practice squad, but is not expected to be active for the playoffs. Sanu ranks fourth on the team with 47 receptions for 455 yards and two touchdowns in 2013.
