PISCATAWAY, N.J. (July 26, 2013) – Rutgers head football coach Kyle Flood along with junior quarterback Gary Nova (Elmwood Park, N.J.), junior wide receiver Brandon Coleman (Accokeek, Md.), senior defensive tackle Isaac Holmes (Jersey City, N.J.) and junior linebacker Kevin Snyder (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) will represent Rutgers at the 2013 American Athletic Conference Summer Kickoff and Media Day. The event is held at the Hotel Viking in Newport, R.I.
Flood and the players will take part in the conference’s signature clambake Monday evening at the Eisenhower House in Newport. The stately mansion, built in 1873, commands breathtaking views of Newport Harbor and Narragansett Bay as the American Athletic Conference hosts the leagues players, coaches, bowl and television partners and members of the media.
Tuesday the players and Coach Flood meet the media from 9a.m. until noon at the Hotel Viking.
RVision will be in Newport for both days with behind-the-scenes access with the players.
Fans will be able to follow all of the day’s events through a broad range of digital coverage. The centerpiece of the conference’s coverage will be a live, three-hour program featuring in-depth analysis and interviews with coaches and players. In addition, a live video feed of Commissioner Mike Aresco’s opening remarks and each coach’s question-and-answer session at the podium will be available on ESPN3.
Flood will speak at the podium live on ESPN3 at 11:25 a.m. Tuesday morning.
The show will be hosted by John Rooke and Pete Brock and will feature one-on-one interviews with each of the league’s 10 head coaches and select players. It will be available on ESPN3 and will feature the results of the conference’s preseason media poll.
Flood is scheduled to appear live on the American three-hour media day program on ESPN3 at 11:10 a.m.
