PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 9, 2012) – With the start of the NFL Playoffs this weekend, 11 former Rutgers standouts are on rosters of playoff teams. Six of those players will be in action this weekend, starting Saturday in Houston between the Texans and the Cincinnati Bengals.
Running back Brian Leonard and long snapper will be active for the Bengals Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on NBC in Houston. Rookie wide receiver Mohamed Sanu is on injured reserve after a foot injury ended a promising first-year for the South Brunswick native.
George Johnson and the Vikings head to Lambeau Field Saturday at 8 p.m. on NBC as the Vikings face the Packers.
Sunday in Baltimore, former teammates square off as Ray Rice leads the host Ravens against former RU members Jamaal Westerman and Joe Lefeged of the Colts. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Sunday on CBS.
