PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 28, 2012) –Rutgers will host Louisville with a trip to a BCS Bowl on the line in front of a sold out High Point Solutions Stadium, the Rutgers Athletics Ticket Office announced Wednesday.
No. 25 Rutgers (9-2, 5-1 BIG EAST), which has already secured its first share of the BIG EAST Championship in school history, can claim the league title outright with a win over the Cardinals. A victory would also send Rutgers to its first BCS Bowl – most likely the Discover Orange or Allstate Sugar Bowl.
The world-famous Empire State Building (ESB) will be lit red Thursday night in support of Rutgers’ BIG EAST Championship football game vs. Louisville at High Point Solutions Stadium. It marks the second time the Empire State Building has been lit red for Rutgers Football. The other occasion was Rutgers’ 28-25 victory over Louisville in 2006 in a matchup of undefeated teams.
