Khaseem Greene Named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week
22-Tackle Performance Against Army Earned Second POTW Award This Season

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 12, 2012) – The BIG EAST Conference named Rutgers senior linebacker Khaseem Greene (Elizabeth, N.J.) its Defensive Player of the Week Monday. Greene had one of the best performances in league history with 22 tackles in the 28-7 victory over Army on November 10.
Greene tied for the fifth-best single-game tackle total in BIG EAST history vs. Army. He was the first Scarlet Knight since Dax Strohmeyer (11/13/99) against Syracuse to eclipse the 20-tackle mark in a game. Strohmeyer had 23 tackles vs. the Orange.
Greene recorded the third-best single-game tackle total in RU history in the win over Army.Greene also added a forced fumble against the Black Knights – his NCAA-leading sixth forced fumble of the year.
