PISCATAWAY, N.J. (April 11, 2012) – Rutgers Athletics and Mind Over Media, the production company for the RFootball Show, have partnered to bring fans a 60-minute documentary titled “RFootball: 15 Days of Spring” that will air in May on SNY, The Comcast Network, MASN and Sun Sports.
“We are thrilled to be able to document "15 Days of Spring" for Coach Flood and the football program at Rutgers”, said Michael Messner, director and partner for Mind Over Media. “From waking up with Coach Flood at 5:15 a.m. on day one through the final whistle at the spring game, we are going to be able to truly give football fans a view of college football that has rarely been seen. Conceptually, we are going to try to tell the story without narration, literally putting the viewer next to the players and coaches as a colleague.”
Head football coach Kyle Flood gave Mind Over Media total access to the program as the show will concentrate on the first spring under Flood for the Scarlet Knights. From behind-the-scenes access in team meetings, positional meetings, meals and practice, “RFootball: 15 Days of Spring” gives viewers a feel of what it is like to be part of the Rutgers Football program.
“We were excited to have the ability to show our fan base and potential recruits our program as we work together for a successful 2012 season,” said Flood. “After seeing the product Mind Over Media produced with our weekly television show, I could not wait to work together on this new venture.”
Several players were wired for sound during practice as we take viewers inside a day in the life of a Rutgers Football student-athlete.
“This has been an exciting project to be a part of,” said Jason Baum, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Communications and one of the show’s executive producers. “We feel strongly this gives the entire Scarlet Nation a unique perspective into the Rutgers Football Family and the terrific student-athletes, coaches and staff members that comprise it.”
The show will also air on the Internet at ScarletKnights.com via RVision.
