PISCATAWAY, N.J. (March 20, 2012) – For the third consecutive year, RVision will broadcast the 2012 Rutgers Pro Day live from the Indoor Practice Bubble on ScarletKnights.com. The Pro Day broadcast, set for Wednesday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m., features 15 former Scarlet Knights as they perform a variety of drills, including the 40-yard dash, 225-pound bench press, broad jump, vertical jump, three-cone drill, flexibility tests and individual position testing.
WNBC-4 sports anchor and reporter Bruce Beck will host the broadcast on RVision. Beck will have a multitude of guests on the broadcast, including Rutgers football head coach Kyle Flood.
Several of Rutgers’ current NFL standouts are scheduled to attend and will join Beck on the broadcast.
Much like the coverage of the NFL Scouting Combine on the NFL Network, RVision will incorporate a multi-camera shoot to show the action from the event. Results of the events will be reported as they event rolls along, in addition to interviews throughout Pro Day.
In 2010, Rutgers became the first school to broadcast its Pro Day event live on the Internet. The 2010 Pro Day featured Devin McCourty, who later became a first round pick of the New England Patriots in the 2010 NFL Draft. Anthony Davis, the 12th overall selection of the 2010 NFL Draft, did not work out due to illness
Among the list of participants for the 2012 Rutgers Pro Day event include Manny Abreu, Justin Francis, Edmond Laryea, Joe Martinek, Caleb Ruch, Mohamed Sanu, Desmond Stapleton, San San Te, Jawann Westerman and Desmond Wynn. In addition, former Scarlet Knights Dennis Campbell, Matthew Hardison, Antonio Lowery, Tyrone Putman and Richard Muldrow will display their skills as well for the NFL Scouts in attendance.
