Six Scarlet Knights Named to BIG EAST All-Bowl Team

  • PISCATAWAY, N.J. (January 13. 2012) – Six members of the Rutgers football team were selected to the 2011 ESPN.com BIG EAST All-Bowl team. Junior linebacker Khaseem Greene (Elizabeth, N.J.), the BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of the Year, was also selected to CBSSports.com All-Bowl team in addition to earning ESPN.com BIG EAST All-Bowl accolades.

    Joining Greene on ESPN.com’s BIG EAST All-Bowl squad were redshirt freshman running back Jawan Jamison (Starke, Fla.), redshirt freshman offensive guard Betim Bujari (Secaucus, N.J.), senior offensive tackle Desmond Wynn (Bear, Del.), sophomore cornerback Logan Ryan (Berlin, N.J.) and junior punter Justin Doerner (Redondo Beach, Calif.).

    Rutgers owns the nation’s longest active bowl winning streak at five games after its 27-13 victory over Iowa State in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl.
