Rutgers Announces 2011 Football Recruiting Class

    PISCATAWAY, N.J. (February 2, 2011) – Rutgers head football coach Greg Schiano announced Wednesday that 19 student-athletes have signed to play football for the Scarlet Knights beginning in the fall of 2011. In addition, Rutgers already secured commitments from five mid-year enrollees, to bring the signing class total to 24.

    The 2011 recruiting class features 13 players from New Jersey, four from Florida, three from Pennsylvania and New York and one player from Iowa.

    Johnathan Aiken, Anthony DiPaula,Dallas Hendrikson, Kenneth Kirksey and Djwany Mera are enrolled at Rutgers and will take part in spring practice, which is set to begin March 29.
