NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – Wide receiver TRES MOSES (Delray Beach, FL) was named Most Valuable Player of the 2004 Rutgers football team. Moses was the recipient of the Homer Hazel Trophy as the Scarlet Knights’ MVP, presented at the 66th annual Rutgers Football Awards Dinner, held this evening at the Hilton Hotel. The awards banquet is sponsored by the Rutgers Football Touchdown Club in conjunction with Rutgers’ Division of Intercollegiate Athletics.

December-01-04 Five Scarlet Knights Earn All-BIG EAST Football Honors
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Five Rutgers University football players have earned All-BIG EAST honors, including four on the first team, as announced today by the Conference office. Wide receiver Tres Moses (Delray Beach, FL), tight end Clark Harris (Manahawkin, NJ), running back Brian Leonard (Gouverneur, NY) and defensive end Ryan Neill (Wayne Hills, NJ) were all named to the All-BIG EAST First Team, while offensive lineman John Glass (Allentown, PA) was a second-team honoree. It is the fourth time overall, but first since 1994, that Rutgers has placed five players on All-BIG EAST teams.

November-25-04 Rutgers Falls to Connecticut in Season Finale 41-35
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Tres Moses caught his way into the records books as Rutgers lost to Connecticut 41-35, on Thanksgiving morning at Rutgers Stadium. Moses, who finished the game with seven catches for 168 yards and two touchdowns, finished the 2004 campaign recording one of the best individual seasons in Rutgers history. Moses finished the year with 81 catches and 1,056 yards, both the most in school history. His stellar numbers this season also rank among the best in BIG EAST history, as he finished the year with the second-most catches and seventh-most receiving yards in a single-season in the history of the conference.
