April-29-07 Meekins, Stapleton Ink NFL Free Agent Contracts
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Ramel Meekins (Westwood, N.J.) and Darnell Stapleton (Union, N.J.) have agreed to free agent contracts with NFL teams today. Meekins signed with the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts while Stapleton agreed to terms with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

(April 29, 2007) – Cameron Stephenson (Inglewood, Calif.) was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round and Clark Harris (Manahawkin, N.J.) was taken in the seventh round by the Green Bay Packers in the 2007 NFL Draft Sunday. In all, three Rutgers players were selected in the 2007 NFL Draft after the St. Louis Rams drafted Brian Leonard (Gouverneur, N.Y.) in the second round on Saturday.
