August-30-07 Underwood, Rice Lead Rutgers Past Buffalo, 38-3
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Heisman Trophy candidate Ray Rice (New Rochelle, N.Y.) rushed for 184 yards and three touchdowns, while junior Tiquan Underwood (Lawrencville, N.J.) caught 10 passes for a school-record 248 yards and two scores to help No. 16 Rutgers to 38-3 season-opening win over Buffalo before 43,091 fans. The victory marked the Scarlet Knights eighth straight win within the confines of Rutgers Stadium and marked the team's fifth consecutive home opening victory under reigning national coach of the year Greg Schiano.

August-28-07 Rice, Ito Named to Award Watch Lists
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Two of the nation's premier college football awards named a pair of Rutgers standouts to their respective watch lists Tuesday. Rutgers junior running back Ray Rice (New Rochelle, N.Y.) was named to the Doak Walker Award Watch List while senior place-kicker Jeremy Ito (Loma Linda, Calif.) was named to the Lou Groza Award Watch List.

NEW YORK, N.Y. – MSG, a world class sports and entertainment network, and Rutgers University announced today that they have entered into a partnership for the network to air a vast array of Scarlet Knights football programming. This new deal will include live sports coverage, as well as delayed game coverage and original programming surrounding the team.

August-22-07 Rice Named to Walter Camp Award Watch List
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Walter Camp Football Foundation has announced the names of 35 "players to watch" for its prestigious Player of the Year award, the nation's fourth-oldest individual college football accolade. Rutgers junior running back Ray Rice (New Rochelle, N.Y.) is one of the players on the initial watch list, after earning Second Team All-America honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation last season.

August-21-07 “Inside Rutgers Football with Greg Schiano” Airs Friday
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – "Inside Rutgers Football with Greg Schiano" will air on four different networks in 2007, including national coverage on CSTV, along with regional coverage on MSG, Sun Sports and MASN. Viewers from television markets in New York, Baltimore, Washington, D.C., and the entire state of Florida, in addition to fans across the nation, will be able to view the 30-minute feature-oriented show on the Rutgers football program.

August-18-07 Rutgers Debuts at No. 16 in AP Preseason Top 25
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers is ranked No. 16 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll, released Saturday. The Scarlet Knights have been ranked in 13 consecutive polls dating back to last season, the longest stretch in school history. Rutgers is also ranked No. 16 in the USA Today Top 25 Preseason Poll. It marks the first time in school history the Scarlet Knights have been ranked in either preseason poll.

August-17-07 Foster Named Preseason All-America by SI
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – In the latest issue of Sports Illustrated, Rutgers senior defensive tackle Eric Foster (Homestead, Fla.) was named to the magazine's Preseason All-America team. In addition, the Scarlet Knights were ranked 12th in the preseason poll and were predicted to end the season in the Rose Bowl.

August-17-07 Rutgers Football Goes National on XM Satellite Radio
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Five Rutgers football games will be broadcast live on XM Satellite Radio this season, including the Scarlet Knights’ season-opener vs. Buffalo on Thursday, August 30. All of the games will use the radio feed from the Rutgers Radio Network, featuring play-by-play voice Chris Carlin and color analyst and former RU tight end Tim Pernetti.
