Jeremy Cole

JEREMY COLE
Strength & Conditioning Assistant

Jeremy Cole begins his first season as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Rutgers football program.

Cole will assist in all aspects of the football team’s in-season and offseason training in addition to numerous other responsibilities.

Cole most recently served as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the University of North Carolina during the 2007 season. Prior to his stint with the Tar Heels, Cole spent one season at the University of Kansas as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. He held a similar role with the Indianapolis Colts from 2005-06, while also serving as a personal trainer.

A four-year letterwinner at Findlay, he played safety for the Oilers. Cole was an all-conference selection, team captain and team MVP. Jeremy is the son of former Pittsburgh Steeler and two-time Super Bowl Champion Robin Cole. Cole currently resides in North Brunswick and has a son named Jayln.


Bob Gilmartin
BOB GILMARTIN
Strength & Conditioning Assistant

Bob Gilmartin enters his eighth season with the Rutgers football program. In addition to being an assistant with the football program, he is the Head Stength and Conditioning Coach for the Rutgers men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, field hockey, and wrestling programs.

A 1989 graduate of the UMass- Amherst, Gilmartin earned a bachelors degree in management. He is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and a USAW Level 1 Club Coach.

Gilmartin, a Massachusetts native, graduated from Millis (Mass.) High School where he played football and basketball. He resides in Somerset, N.J.


Mike Tufo
MIKE TUFO
Strength & Conditioning Assistant

Mike Tufo is in his fourth year as an Assistant Strength and Conditioning
Coach with the Rutgers football program.

He joined the Rutgers staff in 2005 after completing his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology at the University of Connecticut. In addition to assisting with the football and men’s and women’s basketball programs at Rutgers, Tufo is the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the men’s soccer and women’s swimming programs.

At UConn, Tufo was a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Kinesiology as well as an assistant to the strength and conditioning department. He worked with 22 of the 24 teams trained by the Strength and Conditioning Department including the football and basketball programs. Tufo began working in the Strength and Conditioning field in 2002 at Princeton University.

The 28-year-old Tufo earned a B.S. in Exercise Science from the College of New Jersey. He resides in New Brunswick, N.J.
