Rutgers Field Hockey’s Bull Selected to Preseason All-BIG EAST Team

    PISCATAWAY, N.J. (Aug. 28, 2013) – Rutgers field hockey sophomore midfielder Alyssa Bull (Oakville, Ontario) has been named to the 2013 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team, the conference announced Wednesday. The selections were made by a vote of the league’s head coaches.

    Bull returns as the reigning BIG EAST Rookie of the Year, the first player in program history to receive that honor. The Oakville, Ontario, native finished the 2012 season with five goals and seven assists. Her 17 points ranked second on the squad. Bull also earned a spot on the 2012 All-BIG EAST Second Team.  

    Rutgers was picked to finish fifth in the league by the conference’s coaches.

    The Scarlet Knights open the season in Burlington, Vt., taking on Boston College (Aug. 31) and Vermont (Sept. 1).
