    PISCATAWAY, N.J. (August 27, 2012) – Rutgers field hockey had two players selected to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after the first weekend of 2012 play, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

    Junior forward Lisa Patrone (Sewall, N.J.)  was acknowledged by the conference after one goal and one assist in the 3-2 win over No.19 Albany in the Scarlet Knights’ opening game of the season.  Patrone’s goal sealed the lead late in the game and allowed RU to take home their first win of the season.

    Roxbury, N.J. goalkeeper Sarah Stuby was also recognized after a career-high nine saves in the victory over No. 19 Albany. She totaled twelve saves over the weekend against two ranked opponents and played every minute of both games, including an overtime loss to No. 14 Boston University.

    The Scarlet Knights head down the road to West Long Branch, N.J. for a nonconference matchup against Monmouth on Friday, Aug. 31, at 4 p.m.  The next home match is Sunday, Sept. 2, at 1 p.m. at Bauer Track and Field Complex when RU faces Temple.
