HEMPSTEAD, NY – Rutgers’ 2003 regular season officially came to an end on Wednesday night with a 2-0 loss to Hofstra at James M. Shuart Stadium. The Scarlet Knights fall to 7-12 overall but will continue its season as the fourth seed in next weekend’s BIG EAST Tournament.

EASTON, PA – The Rutgers University field hockey team began a three-game road trip to end its regular season with a 2-0 setback to Lafayette on Wednesday evening in Easton, PA. With the loss, Rutgers falls to 7-10 overall.

October-19-03 Field Hockey Drops Home Finale to UConn 5-1
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Connecticut, the defending BIG EAST Conference champions and currently ranked No. 13 nationally, used a three-goal first half to defeat Rutgers (7-9, 2-2 BIG EAST) 5-1 at the Rutgers Stadium Complex on Sunday, Oct. 19. October-10-03 Recker's OT Goal Lifts RU Field Hockey Past Providence
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Ashley Recker (Dillsburg, PA) scored on a rebound with 11:22 to play in the second overtime as Rutgers (7-7, 2-1 BIG EAST) picked up a key BIG EAST victory over Providence (7-7, 0-2 BIG EAST) on Friday, Oct. 10, at the Rutgers Stadium Complex. It was RU’s fourth consecutive game that has been decided in overtime.

October-07-03 RU Field Hockey Falls to Saint Joseph's on Penalty Strokes, 4-3
PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Rutgers University field hockey team (6-7) played its third consecutive overtime contest, dropping a 4-3 decision to Saint Joseph’s on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in Philadelphia, PA. The game was decided on penalty strokes after two overtimes failed to determine a winner.

October-04-03 RU Field Hockey Falls in Double-OT to Georgetown, 2-1
WASHINGTON, DC – Georgetown scored an unassited goal midway through the second overtime to give the Hoyas a 2-1 victory over Rutgers on Saturday, Oct. 4 at Kehoe Field in Washington, DC. The loss drops Rutgers’ record to 6-6, while Georgetown improves to 3-7.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – Erica Hartwig (Medford, NJ) scored her first goal of the season with 6:35 to play in overtime to lift Rutgers (6-5) to a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Monmouth (3-8) on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at the Rutgers Stadium Complex.

September-26-03 Field Hockey Drops 3-2 Decision to Villanova
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Despite goals from Kamilah Lalani (West Vancouver, BC) and Bobbi Jo Adams (Port Norris, NJ), the Rutgers field hockey team (5-5, 1-1 BIG EAST) fell to BIG EAST foe Villanova, 3-2, on Friday, Sept. 26, at the Rutgers Stadium Complex.
