Forward Christie Lonsky led the Scarlet Knights to an overtime victory in a nonconference matchup with Cornell on Sunday at Bauer Track and Field Complex. The junior tallied two goals on the day, the second goal deciding the overtime victory for RU.

In the first game of weekend play at Bauer Track and Field Complex, Rutgers field hockey dropped its second conference match of the season to Syracuse, 6-0.

September-20-12 Rutgers Field Hockey Hosts No. 2 Syracuse, Cornell
Rutgers field hockey returns home to the Bauer Track & Field Complex to host No. 2 Syracuse and Cornell this weekend. RU (4-4) and BIG EAST foe SU (7-0) will face off on Friday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m. The Scarlet Knights meet the Big Red (1-4) on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 1 p.m.

The Rutgers field hockey team recorded their second shutout of the season on Sunday, Sept. 16 in New Haven, Conn., blanking Sacred Heart, 5-0.

September-15-12 Rutgers Field Hockey Blanked by No.5 Connecticut
Rutgers field hockey kicked off conference action in a noon matchup at No. 5 Connecticut on Saturday, Sept. 15. The Scarlet Knights were shut out by the Huskies who scored five goals and advanced their record to 6-0 on the season.

The Rutgers field hockey team kicks off conference action this weekend as they head to No. 7 Connecticut on Saturday, Sept. 15. RU will then head to New Haven, Conn. To take on nonconference foe Sacred Heart on Sunday, Sept. 16 for a neutral-site matchup.
