Dante Carnevale was named Associate Director of Athletic Development in Sep. 2012 after previously serving as Development Assistant from Feb. 2011 to Aug. 2012 and Development Intern from Sep. 2010 to Jan. 2011.
In addition to managing a fundraising portfolio of 80 donors, Carnevale’s main responsibilities include oversight of RAD’s external communications, marketing, new media initiatives and office operations. He serves as ombudsman for the Rutgers Athletics priority seating and parking programs, drafting related policy and ensuring its efficient implementation.
Carnevale is also active in the development and sales of Premium Hospitality opportunities, including the Audi Rutgers Club and the Rutgers RedZone Suites. He also serves as liaison for three booster clubs and directs RAD’s highly successful internship program.
In 2012 and 2013, Carnevale supervised the planning and execution of the annual Rutgers Athletics Golf Outing. He was also a chief architect of the Block R Party presented by Miller Lite, the widely-acclaimed pregame event that has taken the Rutgers Football gameday experience to new heights.
From Feb. 2007 to Apr. 2009, Carnevale worked as an Editorial Producer for Major League Baseball Advanced Media. In that role, he collaborated with league and team officials to devise and implement web-based media strategies.
Prior to working with MLBAM, Carnevale was a sports reporter for the Narragansett Times, where he covered University of Rhode Island football and men's basketball, as well as local and high school sports.
Carnevale has a bachelor's degree in History from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a master's degree in Sports Business from New York University. A native of Cranston, RI, he resides in New Brunswick.
