Men’s Cross Country Takes Sixth at Metropolitan Championships

BRONX, NY – The Rutgers University men’s cross country team scored 159 points to finish in sixth place finishes at the Metropolitan Championships on Friday, Oct. 7, at Van Courtlandt Park in the Bronx, NY.

Columbia won the meet with 45 points, while NYU finished second (87) and Marist took third (116).

Senior Ambar Patel (Lake Hiawatha, NJ) led the way, finishing 19th overall (27:08), followed by sophomore Alex Palmentieri (Northfield, NJ) in 22nd place (27:14) and Milo Schwab (Highland Park, NJ) in 25th place (27:29).

The Scarlet Knights will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 15, for the Lafayette Invitational in Easton, PA.
