NEW ORLEANS, La. (February 13, 2011) – The Rutgers women’s cross country team received All-Academic honors by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.
A total of 205 institutions represent 30 conferences that compose the group. To lead all conferences, 14 teams from the BIG EAST Conference earned All-Academic nods.
The women’s team compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.07. The 2011 women’s cross country roster was comprised of Lindsay Bertulis (Cedarville, N.J.), Anjelica Brinkofski (Somerset, N.J.), Ashley Deckert (Newfield, N.J.), Christina Dibernardo (Woodbury, N.Y.), Darina Dinov (San Diego, Calif.), Kelly Flannigan (Middletown, Conn.), Stephanie Krausser (Wall, N.J.), Felicia O’Donnell (Franklinville, N.J.), Allison Payenski (Whitehouse Station, N.J.), Victoria Pontecorvo (Staten Island, N.Y.), Rashmi Singh (Flemington, N.J.), Jennifer Spitzer (Fairport, N.Y.), Tara Wuko (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) and Whitney Zammit (Boonton, N.J.).
