Men's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at Metropolitan Championships

BRONX, NY – The Rutgers University men cross country team finished fifth of 15 schools at the annual Metropolitan Championships, held on Friday, Oct. 3, at Van Courtland Park. RU scored 146 points.

For the Rutgers, Brian Stanziano (Barnegat, NJ) was 12th overall in 26:11. Teammate Tim Vitez (Haddonfield, NJ) was close behind in 16th place, finishing in 26:21. Steve Slaby (Manilus, NY) finished in 27th place (26:49).

Rutgers returns to action when it competes in the Rider Invitation on Saturday, Oct. 11 in Lawrenceville, NJ.
