| PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers senior rower Melanie Spero (East Granby, Conn.) has been selected as the Undergraduate Speaker for Rutgers University's Commencement, Wednesday, May 21, on Voorhees Mall on the College Avenue Campus at 1:30p.m. After a campus-wide competition, Spero was selected based on a personal essay that she wrote for the contest. |

| OAK RIDGE, Tenn. – The Rutgers women's crew team finished fifth out of eight schools in the BIG EAST Championships, Sunday afternoon on Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn., marking the second consecutive year that the team placed fifth. The novice eight boat finished third behind Notre Dame and Louisville to pace the Scarlet Knights. The Irish won the competition with 123 total team points. |
