The Rutgers University Spirit Program provides leadership and entertainment for the 60,000 fans who fill Rutgers High Point Solutions Stadium throughout football season and the 7,000 fans who pack the RAC (Rutgers Athletic Center) for men's and women's basketball. While their primary purpose is to support football and basketball, the men and women in the Spirit Program also serve as ambassadors for the University, providing Scarlet Knight spirit not only for a number of Rutgers athletic and community endeavors, but at various public relations and outreach events throughout the state and across the nation.
Under the supervision of the Rutgers University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics, the Spirit Program includes the Coed and All Girl Cheerleaders, the Dance Team, and the Scarlet Knight Mascots. Throughout the year, the Spirit Program can be seen at all home football, men's basketball, and women's basketball games, various sporting events at Rutgers, UCA/UDA camp in the summer, postseason bowl games and men's and women's basketball tournaments, and the UCA & UDA College Cheerleading and Dance Team National Championship.
And they do all of this while being full-time undergraduate students at Rutgers University, one of the nation's premiere public research institutions and a proud member of the Big Ten Conference.
