PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers women’s basketball program will host its annual “Meet the Team Knight” Friday, Nov. 1, at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.

“Meet the Team Knight” is the first public event of the season for the Scarlet Knights and gives fans a chance to meet the members of the team, take part in contests and watch the Knights take the court.

The doors will open at 6:15 p.m. with the festivities beginning at 7:10 p.m. with the introduction of the Rutgers Pep Band, Cheerleaders and Dance Team. The RU players then will be introduced, followed by player drills and a scrimmage.

Michelle Edwards, the 1988 WBCA and Champion Player of the Year while at Iowa and a former star in the WNBA, also will attend “Meet The Team Knight”. She will answer questions as well as sign autographs with the Scarlet Knights at the end of the event.

The Scarlet Knights begin the 2002-2003 preseason Wednesday, Nov. 6, against the Houston Jaguars AAU Team at 7:30 p.m. Rutgers will begin the regular season at Stanford on Friday, Nov. 22, at 7:00 p.m. PT.
