PISCATAWAY, NJ – The seventh-seeded Rutgers women’s basketball team (21-11, 10-6 BIG EAST) will play its NCAA Championship first-round game against No. 10 Chattanooga (28-2, 20-0 Southern) Saturday, March 20, at 11:00 a.m. The game will be played at McKenzie Arena (12,000) in Chattanooga.
ESPN will show the game live in selected markets. In addition, WCTC 1450 AM and WRSU 88.7 FM will air the game live.
In the other first-round game, No. 2 Vanderbilt (24-7, 8-6 Southeastern) will play No. 15 Lipscomb (20-11, 14-6 Atlantic Sun) 30 minutes after the completion of the Rutgers-Chattanooga contest. ESPN2 will show that game in selected markets. Please check your local listings for the games being shown in your area.
The winners of the two first-round games will meet in the second round Monday, March 22. The game time and television coverage for the second round have yet to be determined.
