Laney is averaging nearly a double-double as Rutgers’ third leading scorer and leading rebounder.  A Preseason American Honorable Mention selection, she ranks 11th in the conference at 12.4 points per game and is third in the league in rebounding at 8.9 boards per game.  Laney has recorded 13 double-doubles, including a streak of seven straight, and has the most double-doubles for an RU player since the 06-07 season.  The third-year Scarlet Knight hauled in double-digit rebounds in 13 games, including a career-high 15 vs. Houston (Jan. 4).  Additionally, Laney ranks 15th in the conference in assists at 3.0 per game, including handing out a career-high seven assists in games with UCF (Feb. 15) and Memphis (Jan. 14). Laney ranks 15th in the conference in shooting percentage (.457) and has shot .500 or better from the floor 10 times.

Scaife was the Preseason American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and is a candidate for the conference’s Freshman of the Year.  Having started all but five games as a true freshman, including the last 23 straight, Scaife is eighth in the conference in scoring and tops among all freshman at 14.1 points per game. She is 13th in the league and leading all freshmen in field goal percentage at a .460 clip.  She netted a career-high 25 points in the first meeting with Louisville (Jan. 28), resetting her previous career-high of 22 against top-ranked Connecticut (Jan. 19).  The Little Rock, Ark. native shot 50 percent or better from the floor in 13 contests.
