PISCATAWAY. N.J. (February 13, 2013) – The Rutgers women’s basketball team will host UConn on Saturday, February 16 in the WBCA Play 4Kay Pink Night, in memory of the late Kay Vow, former coach at North Carolina State. Formerly known as the Pink Zone game, fans are asked to wear pink to the game.
Rutgers basketball will be honoring all breast cancer survivors in attendance at this game. Survivors planning to attend this game are asked to contact the Sports Marketing office in advance to participate in being recognized on the court pre-game. Participating fans will take the court with both teams for the playing of the National Anthem. All survivors in attendance who have signed up will receive a pink Rutgers t-shirt. For fans that do not sign up in advance, there will also be a table in the lobby to sign up the night of the game. Pink Rutgers breast cancer awareness t-shirts will also be on sale in the Rutgers Ticket office this week and at the game Saturday for $10.
