BATON ROUGE, LA – Playing its third-straight game on the road, two of them against nationally-ranked opponents, the Rutgers women’s basketball team (3-3) fell to #18/21 LSU, 78-68, Tuesday night at the Maravich Center in Baton Rouge, LA. LSU led the entire game, although Rutgers cut the lead to three points early in the second half.

November-19-03 Rutgers Advances to WNIT Final with 65-50 Win over Michigan
PISCATAWAY, NJ - Junior Cappie Pondexter scored a game-high 16 points and Rebecca Richman added a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds to lead the 15th-ranked Rutgers women's basketball team to a 65-50 win over Michigan in the semifinals of the WNIT Wednesday night at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.

November-16-03 No. 16/17 Rutgers Defeats Ole Miss to Advance to Preseason WNIT Semifinals
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Junior All-American Cappie Pondexter (Chicago, Il) collected a game-high 21 points and eight assists to lead the No. 16/17 Rutgers women’s basketball team (2-0) to a 65-50 victory against Ole Miss (1-1) in the Preseason WNIT’s second round at the Louis Brown Athletic Center in Piscataway, NJ, on Nov. 16. With the victory, the Scarlet Knights advance to the semifinals of the Preseason WNIT, where they will face the winner of tomorrow’s Michigan-Cincinnati game. The semifinal game will be held Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 7:30 p.m., at the Louis Brown Athletic Center.

November-14-03 Women's Basketball Announces Three Signings
PISCATAWAY, NJ – Matee Ajavon (Newark, NJ), Essence Carson (Paterson, NJ) and Charese “Tudy” Reed (Chicago, IL) have signed national letters of intent to attend Rutgers and play for the Scarlet Knight women’s basketball team beginning with the 2004-2005 season, ninth-year head coach C. Vivian Stringer has announced.

PISCATAWAY, NJ –The No. 16/17 Rutgers women’s basketball team easily defeated Saint Peter’s, 58-40, in the first round of the Preseason WNIT Friday night at the RAC. Senior Dawn McCullouch scored 13 points and sophomore Michelle Campbell added 10 for the Scarlet Knights, who advance to second round Sunday afternoon.
