PISCATAWAY, NJ – The seventh-seeded Rutgers women’s basketball team (21-11, 10-6 BIG EAST) will play its NCAA Championship first-round game against No. 10 Chattanooga (28-2, 20-0 Southern) Saturday, March 20, at 11:00 a.m. The game will be played at McKenzie Arena (12,000) in Chattanooga.

PISCATAWAY, NJ – The Rutgers women’s basketball team (21-11, 10-6 BIG EAST) has received the seventh seed in the Midwest Region of the 2004 NCAA Tournament. The Scarlet Knights will face 10th-seeded Chattanooga (28-2 overall, 13-0 Southern Conference) in the first round Saturday, March 20, in Chattanooga, TN. Game times have yet to be determined.

HARTFORD, CT - Competing in its fourth game in as many days and playing with just seven scholarship players, the seventh-seeded Rutgers women’s basketball team (21-11, 10-6 BIG EAST) fell short in its bid for its first BIG EAST title, losing to No. 5 Boston College (25-6, 11-5 BIG EAST) 75-57 in the BIG EAST Championship final March 9 at the Hartford Civic Center.
