BUENO AIRES, Argentina – Rutgers bound freshman Nikki Speed (Marlborough, Calif.) contributed 10 points and five assists as USA Basketball U18 National Team commenced play at the 2008 FIBA Americas Championship with a 112-48 victory over Venezuela on Wednesday.

May 14, 2008 Rutgers’ C. Vivian Stringer to Host Girls Basketball Camps
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Nine sessions of the C. Vivian Stringer Basketball Camp will be offered for girls ages 6-17 this summer at Rutgers University’s Louis Brown Athletic Center. Day camp will run in two sessions, July 7-10 and July 14-17. The day camp focuses on teaching the fundamental skills and introducing basic game strategy. It is open to girls ages 8-17. The day runs from drop-off beginning at 8:00 a.m. until dismissal at 2:00 p.m.

May 9, 2008 Rutgers Head Coach C. Vivian Stringer to Receive Honorary Degrees
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers head women's basketball coach C. Vivian Stringer will be honored with a pair of honorary degrees this month. Stringer, the third winningest coach in women's basketball history, will receive a Doctor of Humanities degree from Howard University on Saturday, May 10.
