PISCATAWAY, N.J. Rutgers senior J.J. Moore (Brentwood, N.Y.) will compete in the Gotham Hoops Invitational, to be held Sunday, April 13, at Farmingdale (N.Y.) State College. The inaugural event will serve as a showcase for the top men's college basketball seniors in the Tri-State area.

Moore played in all 33 games (30 starts) this past season, averaging 11.2 points and 2.9 rebounds-per-contest. He scored in double figures 18 times, including posting 20 or more points on four occasions. He was named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll on Feb. 3, after scoring a career-high 27 points and grabbing five rebounds in a 93-70 win over Houston.

Moore, who played both the guard and forward positions for the Scarlet Knights, concluded his collegiate career with 1,005 points. He eclipsed the 1,000 point plateau in a 72-68 victory over USF in the AAC Championship.

The Invitational will be played before NBA and international coaches and scouts, providing an opportunity for these seniors to pursue professional basketball careers. The evening double-header will be open to the public.

Rosters will be finalized on Friday, April 4. Represented conferences include the American, Atlantic 10, Big East, Colonial, Metro Atlantic and Northeast. For more information, visit the official website at GothamHoopsInvitational.com.
