PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers University redshirt junior forward Kadeem Jack (Queens, N.Y.) has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll. Jack averaged 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.5 blocks last week, while shooting 77.8 percent from the free throw line.
Jack shot 7-of-15 and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe to score 20 points, while also issuing three blocks, in a 74-73 home win over USF on Saturday. He hit an off-balance, go-ahead shot in the lane with 11.1 seconds to play to help Rutgers overcome a 15-point, second-half deficit. On Wednesday at UCF, he scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Jack ranks eighth in AAC in rebounding (6.9) and blocks (1.4), 10th in field goal percentage (.497) and 11th in scoring (14.6). In conference only games, he is seventh in scoring (15.1) and rebounding (6.7), 12th in field goal percentage (.459) and free throw percentage (.729) and 13th in blocks (1.1).
It marks the fourth conference honor for Jack this season. On Nov. 11, he was named the AAC Player of the Week, becoming the first player to win the new league’s weekly award. He was previously cited on the Honor Roll on Jan. 6 and Feb. 10.
