PISCATAWAY, N.J. (February 28, 2014) –The Rutgers University men’s basketball team will have home-and-home meetings with Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Penn State and Purdue during its inaugural Big Ten Conference campaign in 2014-15. The Scarlet Knights will also welcome Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State and Wisconsin to the RAC next season.
On the road in Big Ten play in 2014-15, Rutgers will travel to Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska.
“To compete against these great universities is a tremendous opportunity for our program,” said Rutgers Head Coach Eddie Jordan. “Welcoming Big Ten teams to the RAC annually is exciting for the entire Rutgers community, including our fans, students, players and recruits. The future of Rutgers Basketball is very bright.”
Dates and times for Rutgers’ inaugural Big Ten men’s basketball season, as well as the entire 2014-15 schedule, will be announced at a later date.
“There’s still a lot of basketball to be played this season, beginning with tomorrow’s game against USF,” Jordan continued. “We remain focused on our daily improvement and look forward to finishing this season with strength and character.”
