PISCATAWAY, N.J. (February 3, 2014) – Rutgers University senior guard/forward J.J. Moore (Brentwood, N.Y.) has been named to the American Athletic Conference Honor Roll. Moore averaged 20.0 points and 4.0 rebounds last week, while shooting 59.3 percent (16-of-27) overall and 55.6 percent (5-of-9) from behind the arc.

Moore shot 11-of-27 to score a career-high 27 points and grabbed five rebounds in a 93-70 win over Houston on Saturday. At Temple on Wednesday, he was 5-of-10 from the field and 3-of-4 from behind the arc to post 13 points.

Moore ranks among the league leaders in both scoring (19th; 12.2) and free throw percentage (15th; .780). He joins Myles Mack (Paterson, N.J.) and Kadeem Jack (Queens, N.Y.) as Scarlet Knights recognized in the Conference weekly awards this season. Mack was named to the Honor Roll on Jan. 20 and Dec. 16. Jack was cited on the Honor Roll on Jan. 6 after being named the league’s inaugural Player of the Week on Nov. 11.

Rutgers returns to action Tuesday evening at Memphis in a 7 p.m. tip-off. The game will be televised live nationally on the CBS Sports Network.
