  • PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 26, 2013) – Rutgers baseball greats Todd Frazier and David DeJesus will host autographs nights at the RAC to supplement an already impressive men’s basketball promotional calendar. DeJesus will sign autographs from 6:45-7:45 prior to the Seton Hall game at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 8, while Frazier will sign autographs from 4:45-5:45 prior to the Louisville game at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4.

A native of Toms River, N.J., Frazier played for Coach Fred Hill at Rutgers from 2005 to 2007. His 210 runs and 42 home runs rank first in school history, while he hit.377 with 22 home runs, 65 RBIs and 62 walks in an All-America 2007 season. Frazier led the Scarlet Knights to a BIG EAST title by winning MVP of the tournament, leading to a NCAA appearance that year. The Cincinnati Reds selected him as the 34th overall selection in the 2007 draft and he reached the big leagues in 2011. In his first full season for the Reds, he finished third in the NL Rookie of the Year balloting after hitting 19 home runs. Frazier followed that by knocking in 73 runs as the everyday third baseman in 2013, helping the team earn a wild card berth.

DeJesus completed his 11th major league season in 2013, reaching the playoffs with the Tampa Bay Rays. He recently signed a two-year deal to stay with the Rays as an outfielder. DeJesus played for Hill at Rutgers from 1998 to 2000 and helped the Scarlet Knights win two BIG EAST Championships. Despite only playing three seasons, he ranks third in program history with 211 hits and ninth with 50 stolen bases. He was drafted in the fourth round of the 2000 draft by the Kansas City Royals and made his MLB debut in 2003. DeJesus has also played for the Athletics and Cubs. In 1,277 major league games, he has hit .279 with 743 stolen bases, 88 home runs and 524 RBIs. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y.
