PISCATAWAY, N.J. (December 17, 2012) – Rutgers basketball sophomore guard Myles Mack (Paterson, N.J.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after averaging 18.0 points, 4.0 steals and 3.5 assists per game to help the Scarlet Knights to a 2-0 record last week.
This marks the first conference honor for the sophomore. For the week, Mack shot 11-of-17 (.647) from the field, including 5-for-8 from behind the arc. He was a perfect 9-for-9 from the charity stripe. Against Alabama-Birmingham, Mack neared his career high with 23 points in 33 minutes, adding five assists, five steals and four rebounds.
Mack currently sits among the top 12 in the league in free throw percentage (first, 96.2), three-point field goal percentage (second, 50.0), field goal percentage (sixth, 59.5), three pointers made (eighth, 2.1), steals (11th, 2.0) and scoring (12th, 16.0).
Mack and the rest of the Scarlet Knights welcome Howard to the RAC on Friday, Dec. 21. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be available live via the web on RVision, presented by AT&T.
