PISCATAWAY, N.J. (November 1, 2012) – Due to the effects of Hurricane Sandy, the annual Tip-Off Dinner to Benefit Coaches vs. Cancer at the Rutgers Athletic Center slated for this Friday, Nov. 2, at 7 p.m. has been postponed. A make-up date is still to be determined.

“As much as we were all looking forward to this event, I believe it’s in the best interest of all parties to postpone,” said Rutgers head coach Mike Rice. “Living in Little Silver, my family personally experienced some of the terrible effects of this storm. Our thoughts and prayers remain with all those affected. We are committed to Coaches vs. Cancer and will put together a dinner indicative of this tremendous cause later this season.”
